Three wheels are better than four

Did you know that a three-sided structure is stronger than a four-sided structure? This is because the force is better distributed across all sides. Our three-wheel drive system ensures your body weight is distributed evenly across all wheels, improving both stability and traction, especially on uneven surfaces.

All terrain by design

Putting the big wheels at the front allows the Trekinetic GTE to cope with pretty much any terrain you can throw at it, be it on or off-road. It’s perfectly at home over mud, sand, snow and gravel, but is also versatile enough to use around town making light work of cobbles and cracked pavements. This means less time staring at the floor and more time enjoying the view.

Ultra Lightweight

Just like Formula 1, lighter is always better. The Trekinetic GTE weighs in at just 34 kg (including the battery), making it one of the lightest all terrain power chairs on the planet. This makes it incredibly easy to manoeuvre and much more simple to transport than a traditional powerchair.

Engineered for versatility

Off-road stability requires a wider wheelbase. Indoor practicality requires a narrow wheelbase. Our patented Varicam system allows you to change the angle of the wheels and lock them in place by simply turning a bar under the seat. Zero tools required.

A comfortable ride

Trekinetic’s patented rear shock absorber ensures a smooth ride every time, by soaking up any uncomfortable cobbles, cracks, lumps and bumps you might encounter on your journey.

Our unique shock absorber also acts as a tilt in space mechanism to alter the angle of the seat and change the weight distribution in the chair. This can now be remotely activated by lifting the armrest on the GTE Mk3.

Carbon fibre is the new black

Like most modern vehicles, Trekinetic has done away with the traditional metal chassis and replaced it with a super lightweight carbon fibre monocoque chassis. This reduces the weight of the chair, whilst keeping it strong and results in a seat that more closely resembles the human form. This typically means less padding and more support.

Power, but not as you know it

The GTE’s power comes directly from two 24V 120W motors in the front wheels, delivering up to 6 km/h – making it perfect for use on pavements or any other type of terrain.

The GTE Mk 3 is powered by a removable 11.8ah Lithium-ion battery providing a range of up to 30km. At 295wh this battery is safe for air travel.

Versatile hybrid design

The GTE power chair is one of the only all-terrain power chairs on the market that can also be operated as a manual chair. Simply flip the levers beside the front wheels to change from power to manual and back again.

Maximum control

The highly configurable joystick can be mounted in various positions and has 5 speeds for maximum control. It also has a USB charging point at the front, ideal for charging your phone.

Easy to transport

The Trekinetic GTE was designed to fold down and fit into a regular car. It’ll fit into a small SUV with the wheels still on, alternatively the front wheels come off with the simple click of a button and the rear castor folds down behind the seat.

For those that need to stay in their chair whilst in a vehicle, the Trekinetic GTE is crash tested to ISO 7176-19 when using the Trekinetic 5-Point Vehicle Restraint System.

All our chairs are made to order by hand in our workshop. This gives us complete control over the assembly process and means we can configure each chair to your individual specification.

Fancy a paint job? We can even colour the outer shell of the seat in a choice of over 200 colours.

Standard Features

Carbon Fibre Seat
Ergonomically moulded to follow the contours of the human body, Trekinetic’s unique carbon fibre seat has been designed to optimise pressure loading and provide support exactly where it’s needed. It’s available in two sizes, 16” (40cm) and 19” (48cm) and can be used in conjunction with a variety of cushions, supports and 3rd party seating.
Lithium-ion Battery
The GTE Mk3 comes with a Lithium-ion battery with a range of up to 30km. The battery box has been updated so that the battery can easily be charged in the chair, or removed. At 295wh, our 11.8ah Lithium-ion battery is safe for air travel when removed and carried securely with hand luggage.
Magnetic Footplate
The GTE Mk3 now includes a magnetic version of our locking and retracting footplate mechanism, making it even easier to get in and out of the chair. It can also be used when transporting or storing the chair.
Padded Seat Lining
Our internal pads provide a soft yet supportive layer that can be used on their own or in conjunction with additional cushioning. It can also be removed if you need a bit of extra room or want to add 3rd party seating.
Tyre Protection
All Trekinetic chairs include 24″ mountain bike tyres with tyre armour in the front wheels and heavy duty sealant in the rear wheel, eliminating 99% of punctures.
You can also upgrade to extra wide smooth black or whitewall tyres.
Locking Camber System
Our patented Varicam system allows you to change the angle of the wheels by simply turning a bar under the seat. Set the bar to ‘Mean’ for extra stable, off road use and ‘Lean’ for indoor use. Now includes a locking mechanism for reduced maintenance. Zero tools required.

Nitrogen Shock Absorber
Our patented, rear shock absorber helps ensure a smooth ride at all time, while also acting as a tilt-in-space mechanism to alter the angle of the seat and change the weight distribution in the chair.
A new update for the Mk3 includes an option that can activate the switch behind the seat by simply lifting the armrest.
Joystick
Programmable 5 speed electronic joystick with power/speed toggle switches and push operated horn. Acceleration, deceleration, sensitivity and turning speed can all be adjusted, and there’s even a USB port at the front for charging your phone or tablet.
Powered Wheels
The GTE’s power comes directly from two 24V 120W motors in the front wheels, delivering up to 6 km/h – making it perfect for use on pavements or any other type of terrain. This also means that removing the wheels reduces the weight of the main seat so you can load it into a vehicle one piece at a time.
Manual/Power Toggle
Trekinetic’s GTE power chair is one of the only all-terrain power chairs on the market that can also be operated as a manual chair. Simply flip the levers beside the front wheels to change from power to manual and back again.
Extended Armrests
Machined out of aluminium with a durable plastic cover, our armrests can be quickly and easily folded out of the way for transferring and can be used to hold our new umbrella system, when not in use.
Our new armrests can also be fitted with optional leather pads (pictured) and a mechanism to activate the tilt-in-space switch behind the seat.
