The Action3 NG Mid Wheel Propulsion (MWP) is a 6 wheeled manual wheelchair, specially designed for those individuals who need increased stability, without compromising on manoeuvrability and comfort. A specific addition to the Action family with an extensive range of cross-compatible options and accessories, this highly configurable and lightweight foldable chair can be set-up to meet many individual needs. The forward position of the rear wheels provides easier access to handrims and enhances manoeuvrability. This outstanding design offers a unique resting position, with two additional rear castors and can easily be tilted back to achieve a 25 degree seat tilt.

Enhanced Manoeuvrability

With its clever design and central wheel position the turning radius is shorter compared to a standard manual wheelchair. Therefore creating a responsive and easy to handle driving performance for effortless use indoors.

• Less stress on the shoulders with the inline position of the persons arms

Integrated resting position

The Action3 NG MWP benefits from two 5″ rear castors, allowing this foldable manual wheelchair to tilt to 25 degrees. This smart innovation enables a caregiver to tilt the lightweight chair effortlessly and also encourages independence by allowing the individual to ‘self tilt’ using their wheelchair skills if required.

Featuring this tilt function means any areas within the region of the seating position that require pressure relief,* can be addressed quickly and easily, helping to prevent any potential pressure points arising.

*It is widely accepted that there is a correlation between the use of tilt for pressure relief which is supported by a body of peer reviewed clinical evidence. Details of which can be found on www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.

Tilt security lever
• When activated, enables individuals to overcome small obstacles up to 65mm in height safely.
• When deactivated it allows the chair to be put into a tilting position.

Cable actuated brakes
• Follows the central wheel position
• Action3 NG MWP can be securely parked even in a tilted position

A compact design and a controlled weight
The driving unit width and the total width folded are the same as the Action3 NG, when folded:
• Driving unit width: seat width + 190 mm
• Total width folded: 295 mm
Total weight is 17.6 kg, therefore only + 3.4 kg heavier than Action3 NG. The total length has been optimised to equal the Action3 NG with anti-tippers.
