Providing mobility equipment for disabled
children and young people
AFK provides mobility equipment not available on the NHS, such as bespoke powered wheelchairs, specialised trikes and walkers, to disabled children and young people up to age 25.
The right piece of equipment can mean the difference between playing outside with friends or watching from the sidelines; between working and going to college or relying on others for everything. It can help with pain management, muscle strength and independence.
For over 30 years we have been committed to providing those pieces of equipment which cannot easily be obtained elsewhere.
We welcome applications from or on behalf of children and young people up to their 25th birthday, who need specialist mobility equipment or a wheelchair to help them become more independent. The child or young person must be disabled and resident in the UK.
